Bottled in a 500ml format at 13.5% alcohol, it is crafted entirely from Nebbiolo, Italy's premier grape known for yielding elegant wines with great structure. According to the estate's original label, the wine was aged in the traditional manner without special treatments, a classic production method that naturally allows a deposit to form in the bottle. It was bottled directly within the production zone.

Bersano was founded in 1907 by Giuseppe Bersano in Nizza Monferrato. While the house is historically anchored in Barbera production, it has a broad portfolio across Piedmont's classic appellations. Arturo Bersano took the estate to the international stage starting in 1935. Following the acquisition of the Cremosina vineyard in 1912, the winery expanded significantly and today encompasses over 230 hectares across 10 properties in the Langhe and Monferrato areas. The estate is currently managed by the Massimelli family, with Federica Massimelli stepping in as the first female leader in 2021.

The wine originates from Barolo, a prestigious area located in the Langhe hills southwest of Alba in northwestern Italy. It is part of the broader Piedmont region, which translates to "at the foot of the mountain" due to its location surrounded by the Alps. Piedmont is celebrated for its dramatic, steep hills and a strong focus on terroir. During autumn, thick morning fog often blankets the Langhe hills, protecting the grapes and providing a long ripening period. The 1967 vintage from this renowned terroir is described as mature and open, earning a score of 86 points.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0646/3478/1950/files/generated-1473_ac08a7c1-f3f3-436b-9ca8-3c7a9f76223f.jpg?v=1790600387
