L.C. and bottled at the property. It originates from the Montmain vineyard, situated on the right bank of the Serein river. The 1991 vintage was generally rainy and uneven, yielding few good bottles overall, and severe spring frost hit the Chablis district hard. However, the Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards on the southwest-facing slopes behind the town of Chablis managed to survive, partly due to the deployment of heaters in the fields, ensuring that the harvested crop was of excellent quality. During its production, the wine underwent a period of oak aging.

Chablis is located in the northernmost part of Burgundy in eastern France, a region historically shaped by medieval monks who meticulously mapped its countless terroirs. Burgundy has elevated terroir to an art form with its fine-meshed system of climats, focusing almost exclusively on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The cool climate of Chablis, combined with its distinctive limestone and Kimmeridgian clay soils, provides a unique environment for viticulture. The area's classification system ranges from Petit Chablis and Chablis up to Premier Cru and Grand Cru.

This Premier Cru is made entirely from Chardonnay, one of the world's most famous green grapes. While it is cultivated in various prominent wine regions globally, such as Champagne, California, and Oregon, the specific terroir of Chablis is particularly renowned for showcasing a lean and pure expression of the grape.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0646/3478/1950/files/generated-1466_ef683d2f-193e-4f91-b5b9-1fc4c4e0bc90.jpg?v=1790599972
