The house works across the entire spectrum of the region, producing everything from generic Beaujolais to the ten Cru appellations. Following Georges Dubœuf's passing in 2020, the estate is now managed by his son, Franck Dubœuf.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLocated south of Burgundy, Beaujolais is the traditional homeland of the Gamay grape, which is typically cultivated here as well as in the Loire Valley. Juliénas is one of the ten Beaujolais Crus situated in the northern part of the region, bordering the Mâconnais. Named after Julius Caesar, the area was granted Appellation Juliénas Contrôlée status in 1938.
