It is classified as an Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP) from the Côtes Catalanes in France, presented in a 750 ml bottle with an alcohol content of 14.5%.

The wine originates from Roussillon, a region located in the southernmost part of France, stretching from the Pyrenees down to the Mediterranean Sea along the Catalan border with Spain. This area possesses its own distinct Catalan culture and identity. Roussillon is characterized by having the warmest and driest climate in France, featuring steep, terraced vineyards planted on soils of schist, gneiss, granite, and limestone. While the region is highly recognized for producing the vast majority of France's fortified sweet wines, it also has a long-standing viticultural history of producing dry wines.

Within Roussillon, the Côtes Catalanes IGP covers a large area around Perpignan in the Pyrénées-Orientales department. The climate here is distinctly Mediterranean, benefiting from over 300 days of sunshine annually and the influence of the strong Tramontane wind. The terroir varies significantly, ranging from black and brown schist in the Agly valley to granite, limestone, and clay on the terraces, with vineyards situated both near the coast and at altitudes up to 600 meters. The IGP designation offers a more flexible approach compared to stricter AOC regulations, which has attracted ambitious producers who utilize the area's old vines to create characterful wines outside the classic classification system.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0646/3478/1950/files/generated-1869_105d3586-1e24-4976-b351-e8b3ecaa4080.jpg?v=1793795980
