Sud-Ouest
Sud-Ouest ligger i det sydvestlige Frankrig mellem Bordeaux, Dordogne, Toulouse og Pyrenæerne. Området består af mange mindre vinområder med stor variation i klima, jordbund og druesorter, fra kølige bjergnære marker til varme dale langs floderne Garonne, Lot, Tarn og Dordogne. Malbec, Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot og Fer Servadou er vigtige blå druer, mens Colombard, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Mauzac og Len de l’El bruges til hvidvin. Rødvinene spænder fra frugtige og krydrede til mørke, faste og tanninrige med noter af brombær, solbær, blommer, peber, urter, lakrids og læder. Hvidvinene kan være friske, aromatiske eller søde med citrus, eksotisk frugt, honning og blomster. Området er kendt for lokale druer, rustikke rødvine, karakterfulde hvidvine og appellationer som Cahors, Madiran, Gaillac, Jurançon, Bergerac, Fronton og Irouléguy.

Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.

Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
