The wines must be from quality producers, stored according to all the rules of the art, and pass our final quality assurance when the wine arrives at our warehouse.

Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux Grande Réserve Château Gourran 2009 er en fransk rødvin fra Bordeaux. Vinen kommer fra appellationen Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, der ligger på den højre bred af Garonne-floden syd for selve Bordeaux by. Området har historisk levet lidt i skyggen af de mere berømte naboer som Médoc og Saint-Émilion, men moderne ejere har i de senere år bragt nye ambitioner til regionen. Årgang 2009 i dette område har opnået en exceptionel score på 99 point og beskrives som rig, moden og næsten perfekt.
Château Gourran skiller sig ud i det klassiske franske vinlandskab ved at have en særlig dansk forbindelse. Siden 2018 har slottet været ejet af Lars og Trine Birch, hvilket er en sjælden konstellation i Bordeaux. Med sine blot 8 hektar jord er der tale om en mindre, håndværkspræget produktion, hvor familien selv er direkte involveret i den daglige drift. Dette gør det muligt at fastholde en intim skala uden at være en del af et større kommercielt netværk. Vinen er desuden aftappet direkte på slottet.
Vinen er klassificeret som Appellation Côtes de Bordeaux Contrôlée og er fremstillet på et klassisk blend af druerne Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon og Petit Verdot. Merlot er en udbredt blå drue i blandt andet Bordeaux, Californien og Norditalien, mens Cabernet Sauvignon er en af verdens mest kendte druer til strukturerede rødvine, ligeledes med stor udbredelse i Bordeaux og Toscana. Petit Verdot tilføjes ofte for at bidrage med farve og struktur til det endelige blend. Under fremstillingen er vinen først gæret i rustfri ståltanke, hvorefter den har gennemgået en modningsproces på egetræsfade.

Storage
Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.
Enjoyment
Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
