This 1989 white wine is an Estate Bottled Chardonnay from S. Anderson Vineyard. The estate-bottled designation indicates that the wine was entirely grown, produced, and bottled on the producer's own property. It was originally distributed by the importer CHRIS WINE and has an alcohol content of 13.5 percent.
The wine is crafted from Chardonnay, one of the most globally recognized green grape varieties. This grape is widely cultivated in several of the world's premier wine-producing areas, including California, Burgundy, Champagne, and Oregon.
The grapes originate from the Stags Leap District, a small yet prestigious American Viticultural Area located on the eastern side of the Napa Valley. The district is characterized by its volcanic soils and the cooling influence of the air flowing in from San Pablo Bay. Napa Valley itself, situated north of San Francisco, stands as the most prominent wine region in the United States. It features a sunny climate with diverse soil types and cemented its international reputation after its wines triumphed at the historic 1976 Judgment of Paris.

Storage
Store the bottle horizontally at 12–14°C and avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations.
Opening
Allow the bottle to stand upright for 24–48 hours before opening to allow sediment to settle. Use a professional corkscrew and open carefully.

Serve at 17–18°C and be patient – there is a great difference in how and how quickly wines open up when they are aerated.
